In 2015, bored and frustrated with the options for Indian wedding invitations, I started tinkering with the idea of designing my own wedding invitation suite to properly reflect my fusion Hindu Indian wedding celebration. With a hobbyist background in art and a long time appreciation for stationery (I'm the friend who always sends a card in the mail for any celebration!), I set out and created a cohesive, creative, and fresh invitation suite and paper goods that really stood out to friends and family. A year later, when a friend insisted on collaborating with her to create her save the date, wedding invitation suite and paper goods, I couldn't wait to help her put beautiful designs and paper in the mail. As each bespoke piece was sent and viewed at events, more friends inquired. . . so more and more designs and stationery was made.
At a time when online sites with a plethora of options were readily available, it was refreshing to see that people still wanted a product completely unique to represent themselves. Thus, SHAHnanigans Paper Company was born. The company is named for my inspiring, creative and artistic siblings who are often my sounding boards and myself - "S" for Shahen, "P" for Pearl, and "C" for Crystal - Silly SHAH sib-things who are always getting into crazy SHAHnanigans!
